Hey everyone I just wanted to let you guys know that the internet has been down at the base, so I won't be able to put new posts up for awhile. Sorry about that, that's what happens though when you live out in the boonies!!! I hope that they'll have it up and running sometime soon. So stay tuned to see the next post!!!!

Just A Reminder

Hey there everyone, I was just going to give you all a little update on my blog. I now have a new shortcut on the right side bar, it is a flickr shortcut. You can just click on it and it'll bring you to flickr and you can see all my pictures I made public. Another thing is that I just recently sent out support letters for Mexico and Cuba. If you don't feel like sending a check or cash in the mail, there is another shortcut on the sidebar that brings you to paypal and you can donate money by using your credit card. I hope these things help you guys out!!! Thanks for reading and responding to my blog, it means a lot!!!

Last night we were cleaning up the kitchen, because that is what my duty is here at YWAM. Kitchen duty entitles a few things, including cleaning dishes, putting all the extra food away, taking out the garbage and mopping the floor. Well last night we were taking out the garbage, Marc and I and well we found this little guy scurrying around out there. I had never really seen a possum up close and personal but yeah here he is, just chilling like a villain. Mom I knew you would love to see this!!!
As I sit here and write this snowflakes are passing by the window. Can you believe that!?!?!? It's been snowing since last night. I believe there is like four inches on the ground at this very moment. Unreal. Did any of you ever think that Tennessee=snow???? I know I sure didn't.
Our last teacher that came in talked to us about inductive bible study. It was pretty neat. He basically just talked about interesting ways of making the Bible more engaging. He explained to us how to be more observant when reading the word, along with going through a book and using colored pencils to highlight words used often. We started this process by going through Ephesians, coloring in Him, through Him, in Christ, in God anything that referred to something happening through Him or in Him. This allowed us at a glance to see a list of things we have been given through Christ (in Christ, in Him, through Him.) The next guy that's going to be speaking to us next week will be speaking on the Father Heart of God. Stay tuned for more great stuff!!!

Where I Lay My Head

I had a request from my friend Judy, to put some pictures on here of my bed and such. This is where I sleep, I have the bottom bunk. I share my room with five other girls, we have four sets of bunk beds crammed into my room along with two dressers. And then the other picture is of my limited space on top of a dresser where I keep all of my books. Along with my I-Pod, phone, alarm clock, glasses, hair ties and all that fun stuff.

Friday Night Lights

Just wanted to inform everyone of some of the great fun that we are having here at DTS. On last Friday we had fun filled family night, that you can see pictured below where we played a not so safe game of spoons. As you can see I"m going a little crazy to get that last spoon.
Then after that we all enjoyed in a roaring campfire, pictured on the left here. And us chilling at the bonfire pictured on the right. That is me, Tash, Em, and Val, chilling like the villains we are.
