Weekend News

Well this weekend was pretty eventful to say the least. I just wanted to tell everyone that Tash came home for the weekend from Nashville to do deputation, they call it. She basically just tried to meet with some of her supporters and just thank them for their support and prayers. An update on that is that in the end of September she will be headed off to Georgia for state side, and then after that off to Turkey. So I just ask as a friend to keep her and her team in your prayers. They still have quite a bit of money to raise to be able to go. But yeah this weekend consisted of a lot of talking, laughing and hanging out. It went by pretty quickly, but was definitely fun.
My life at the moment pretty much stays the same nothing really new, it consists of going to school, reading things for school and then studying for school. As of right now though that's ok, I have approximately 3 months left to go. What great news. I'm trying to think of something new and exciting, or some fun story to tell but I got nothing. This blog has been pretty boring and blah as of late. In the next week I will try to have some deep thinking things on here, maybe you all in the near future will see into the mind of Dana a little....................but until then keep checking in!!

Plane Thoughts

I recently took a trip to Nashville, an excursion I took on my own. Flying by yourself gives you a whole lot of time to think, reflect on life, every aspect of it. I have always felt that I would never have an ordinary life, I am in some way different. My life for some reason would not consist of the same thing everyone else's does. On the way to Nashville I thought about it some more, and I got to thinking maybe me not going back to the second phase of YWAM was a mistake, maybe that was my way of getting of out the ordinary life and missed it. But then I got there and I didn't feel "home," didn't feel the "sigh." None of that, so I know that's not where I was suppose to be. Granted there are quite a few people there that are special and close to my heart, at YWAM, but like U2's song says, " I Still Haven't Found What I Am Looking For." I do know though is that when I find that thing or place where I am suppose to be I'll know. Ruined for the ordinary is definitely the right slogan for YWAM. It seems to me my life has no meaning or is wasting away if I am not doing something to further the kingdom. Don't get me wrong I know I can do that in Grand Forks, ND. But there's just something not fulfilling here, I don't know what it is. The Lord, I believe with this maybe trip to Uganda is pulling me to Him again and along the way fulfilling one or two or three life long dreams along the way. Man we have a GREAT GOD!!!! Ask and you shall receive!!! Blessings, I for one do not deserve. I got my feet wet with 6 weeks in Mexico and Cuba, I believe though it may be time to jump in with this trip to Uganda. This I know for the next week or two I will have to take it to Him and see what's up. My heart is joyful with the thought of maybe being able to serve the Lord in this way again!!!!
